Amos Eno Gallery in Brooklyn, NY, is pleased to announce our Open Call for a solo exhibition opportunity in the gallery’s Project Space in 2023. All submissions will be reviewed for a solo slot in the project space and will be considered for other possible opportunities during the 2023 season. 

The project space is an approximately 90 square foot room made up of three hangable walls (128” x 102”/ 82”), with an open side faced with windows that can be shaded by curtains. This call is open to artists living in the New York City region. Artists must have the ability to install and de-install their exhibition unassisted. Applicants are strongly encouraged to view the space before submitting proposals. Proposals should include specific works to be exhibited or descriptive of the prospective exhibit. Artwork in any media, including site-specific installation, multi-media displays, and performance will be considered as long as the artist is able to supply all necessary components. Submissions from emerging artists and members of disadvantaged, under-represented, or minority communities are encouraged.

To submit, upload a single PDF containing images of artwork; a brief introductory letter with a proposal not more than 500 words; and artist CV, including personal contact info, home address, website and social media if available, and contact info for two references who can vouch for ability to install and deinstall a show. Please reduce the overall PDF file size to not more than 20 pages or 15 MB. High quality image files will be requested if needed. Amos Eno Gallery is an artist-run, not-for-profit gallery located in Bushwick at 56 Bogart Street, open Thursday through Sunday from noon to 6 pm. Submissions to the open call will be considered by a committee of Amos Eno Gallery member artists for one or more shows in the project space coinciding with exhibitions in the main space in 2023. There is no fee to submit to the call or to exhibit if selected thanks to the contributions of Amos Eno Gallery member artists, but all costs associated with delivery and installation of work will be the responsibility of the selected artist. Deadline for submissions is Monday, October 10, 2022.
