Fall 2023 - Spring 2024 + Fall 2024 - Spring 2025

The Department of Art and Design at Binghamton University (SUNY) invites artists and designers to apply for a solo exhibition to take place at the Elsie B. Rosefsky Memorial Art Gallery (Binghamton University, 4400 Vestal Parkway East, PO Box 6000, Binghamton, NY 13902-6000). All types of media will be considered.

The Elsie B. Rosefsky Memorial Art Gallery is a recently renovated, 1,100 square foot exhibition space with 10 foot ceilings. The gallery presents an ongoing series of exhibitions, lectures and seminars by visiting artists and notable alumni.

The Department of Art and Design at Binghamton University (SUNY) has made equity and inclusivity a priority within our programming goals and work environment. The Department supports the development and expression of art and culture across all communities. Artists and designers whose work reflects issues of diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion, are encouraged to submit. All media will be considered.

Artists will receive an email within 2 months of submission regarding acceptance. The Department of Art and Design will issue an honorarium to the artist for the exhibition, and for providing a public lecture about their work and artistic practice, supported by the Elsie Benensohn Rosefsky Visiting Artists Series endowment.

The department will provide lodging for the artist for up to (3) three nights for installation, de-installation, and artist lecture. Shipping work to and from the gallery is the responsibility of the artist.
