Type: Awards, Grants, Fellowships [View all]
Posted by: Manhattan Graphics Center
Deadline: Wed, October 25th, 2023
Manhattan Graphics Center supports the learning and practice of fine art printmaking by providing an affordable, inclusive, professional studio and exhibition space, where a community of printmakers at all stages of artistic development can create and present their work. We award 11 scholarships each year. Any artist who has not previously worked at MGC (i.e. taken a class, taught a class, served as a monitor, or purchased open workshop time) is eligible to apply. Printmaking experience is not required, and there is no fee to apply. A scholarship consists of: tuition waiver for class (either one core class or two workshops), unlimited open workshop hours for one term, $125 materials reimbursement, storage space for one term, and MGC membership for 1 year (includes eligibility to participate in members’ events and exhibitions). Awardees also have the opportunity to deliver a public artist talk and make a donation of one print to the MGC archive after the conclusion of the scholarship term.
