ART*AID SUBSIDIZED RESIDENCIES are available for Winter and Spring 2024 in PUEBLA, OAXACA or CUSCO! We are looking for artists and writers interested in expanding their practice as part of a life-changing experience.

The Art*Aid Subsidy applies to programs in Puebla or Oaxaca, Mexico; or Cusco, Peru, up to 40%* for specific instructional programs and self-directed residencies. Applications for these limited spaces are processed when received, first come, first served. Don’t miss your chance to participate in our International Artist Residencies in Mexico or Peru.

Arquetopia is offering these professional artist-in-residence opportunities for visual artists, designers and writers in three of our four residency sites through this special scholarship program. More than ever, we need to understand artist residencies as the necessary space where resistance, knowledge and ethics intersect; a commitment to imagine a collective present, past, and future where we all participate and the well-being of everyone is not only considered but necessary. All residents are strongly encouraged to question all dominant forms of knowledge, including tourism, art history, and visual culture in general; and to expand their studio practices by engaging in critical discussions. All of our residency programs are process-oriented, autonomous, and with an academic critical approach to studio practices and artistic research with an emphasis on project-based learning.
