ARTS Southeast is now accepting applications for August - October 2024 of the ON::View Artist Residency Program.

 

The ON::View Residency Selection Committee conducts two rounds of jurying for this program: 

DEADLINE TO APPLY: May 28th, 2024

Monday, June 3rd, 2024: Artists notified of first round decisions, and interviews scheduled with select applicants. 

June 3rd - June 7th, 2024: Interviews with select applicants

Monday, June 10th, 2024: Artists notified of final decisions

 

Located in the heart of Savannah’s Starland District at Sulfur Studios, ARTS Southeast’s homebase, the ON::VIEW Artist Residency provides a free, high visibility studio space for an artist to complete a new project, to continue an in-progress endeavor, or to conduct research exploring conceptual, material, performative, and social practices. The studio’s large windows look out onto Bull Street, the district’s main thoroughfare, allowing the artists’ work to be on view to the community at all times. Sulfur Studios’ visitors and passersby on the sidewalk witness the artists’ process as it unfolds in real time, seeing all the steps involved from concept to final execution. Community events like workshops, performances, public art projects and artist talks, offer creative ways to interact with the public. The ON::View Residency supports artists from across the globe, working in all media. Just blocks away, the 5th Dimension Apartment is a cozy studio with a full kitchen and bath to accomodate the Artist for the duration of their stay.
