Posted by: Binghamton University
Deadline: Sun, October 20th, 2024
The Department of Art and Design at Binghamton University (SUNY) invites artists and designers to apply for a solo exhibition to take place at the Elsie B. Rosefsky Memorial Art Gallery between August 2025 and May 2028. All types of media will be considered.
The Elsie B. Rosefsky Memorial Art Gallery is a recently-renovated 1,100 square foot exhibition space with 10-foot ceilings. The gallery presents an ongoing series of exhibitions, lectures, and seminars by visiting artists and notable alumni.
The Department of Art and Design makes equity and inclusivity a priority within our programming decisions and work environment. The department supports the development and expression of art and culture across all communities. Artists and designers whose work reflects issues of diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion are encouraged to submit.
Artists will receive a $2,500 honorarium* for the exhibition, and for providing a public lecture about their work and artistic practice. This honorarium is supported by the Elsie Benensohn Rosefsky Visiting Artists Series endowment.
The department will provide lodging for the artist for up to (3) three nights for installation, de-installation, and artist lecture. Travel and shipping costs to and from the gallery are the responsibility of the artist.
