A National Juried Exhibition at the Attleboro Arts Museum in Attleboro, MA
Exhibition: June 11th – July 10th, 2026 (Closed June 19th and July 4th, 2026) Opening Awards Reception: Saturday, June 13th, 2pm - 4pm (Six juror’s prizes of $100 each will be presented)Open to all mediums, sizes and interpretations from US-based artists.
Throughout 2026 the Attleboro Arts Museum (AAM)’s exhibits and programs will relate to the United States’ 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Country, the AAM’s 2026 national juried exhibit, is one example.
Country is open to all mediums, sizes and interpretations. Consider: a countryside scene, your country of origin, a personal declaration of independence, country music icons, fireworks, founding mothers, yearning for a more perfect union, other.

Application Requirements All mediums and interpretations of Country from all artists living in the US will be juried. Only original artwork should be submitted. There is no size limit, yet all 2D & 3D submissions cannot weigh over 75 lbs each. Work must not have been previously exhibited at the AAM at any time. Each artist may apply with a maximum of two different submissions, uploading only one file per submission. To show the front & back of one piece of 3D art, submit one composite file that contains alternative views. Name each submitted file with the title of the art (example: DrivingCrossCountry.jpg). Please avoid using “Untitled” to name your work. Artists can submit 2D, 3D, installation, or audio/video work. If selected, all tech, accessories & specialized hardware must be supplied (monitors, projectors, cables, etc.). Artists must provide a brief statement about the concept behind each Country submission (each statement will be printed on a label and accompany each accepted piece on view. These statements must directly relate to the submitted artwork and not be a general artist statement). When submitting two different works of art please provide two brief statements labeled with the title of each piece in the same field.
Requests for exceptions will not be acknowledged or honored. Thank you for your cooperation.

Entry fees
$18 covers payment for up to two pieces for Museum members; $25 covers up to two pieces for non-members. You can join as a member when you pay for your submission(s) or join now. All fees and memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable. Unfortunately, there are no available waivers for fees at this time.___________________
Submission Deadline
Friday, April 17th at 11:59PM, Eastern Time (ET). Entries that are emailed or hand-delivered will not be accepted.___________________
Notification of Decision
All artists will receive notification of the juror’s decision sent to the email address that they have provided by Thursday, May 14th at 7PM, ET. Additionally, all accepted works will be listed by title on www.attleboroartsmuseum.org by Thursday, May 14th at 7PM, ET. All artists are expected to check the in-box of the email address that they provided and/or the Museum’s website listing for notification of the juror’s decision. Please no inquiries before May 14th, 2026.___________________________________________
IF YOUR ARTWORK IS ACCEPTEDAll applicants should review dates & requirements BEFORE submitting their art for consideration.
Please do not submit artwork that has been, or might be, committed to other shows during the "Country" delivery period, exhibition or return shipping period. If artwork needs to be framed after acceptance, be sure that framing and delivery can take place within the dates listed below.Delivery of All Accepted Work
To properly record and install accepted pieces, all art (and detailed hanging instructions, if applicable) must be delivered between May 15th and May 30th, from 10AM – 3PM, ET. We’re closed Sundays & Mondays, & Saturday, May 23rd, 2026. We will not accept your artwork before May 15th or after May 30th, 2026.________________________________
Once artwork is delivered it cannot leave the AAM until the exhibition concludes.
Works cannot be substituted for pieces that "are similar" to the invited piece(s).
Giclée reproductions will not be exhibited.

Invited pieces can be either hand-delivered or shipped to the AAM. A Country Loan Agreement must accompany all accepted works. A Country Loan Agreement plus a Delivery Checklist are required for shipped pieces. Download all forms at www.attleboroartsmuseum.org after May 14th, 2026. All information listed within your submission application must match the information on the Loan Agreement (no changing of title, price, etc. once a work has been accepted.) Requests for edits after acceptance will not be honored.________________________________
All installation artists are to provide instructions, a photo of the final installation on display, a video to direct the AAM’s installers, and all necessary hardware, technology, etc. Installations that require personal assembly by the artist must first be delivered to the AAM, and once the curator determines placement, the artist will be contacted with a designated time to return to the AAM to install. No exceptions.________________________________
Artists are responsible for all fees associated with the shipping of their work. FedEx is the AAM’s preferred shipping vendor.All shipped work must include:
$10 handling fee – per piece Pre-paid return shipping label Payment of shipping vendor’s pick-up fee A photo of the accepted art taped to the outside of package A completed Loan Agreement & Delivery ChecklistChecks payable to Attleboro Arts Museum. Fees are non-refundable or transferable.

Presentation of All Accepted Artwork
All invited 2D work must be framed, gallery-wrapped or finished on the edges (no staples showing) and ready to hang at delivery with a sturdy wire hanging system. No saw-tooth hangers. View the AAM’s framing guidelines. We HIGHLY recommend neutral frames and white or off-white mats. Any pieces that do not match the juror’s decision, or were not invited, will not be installed and be returned COD. For the safety of the artwork, wet paint or art containing materials that have not been secured or dried will not be accepted.___________________
Sales
All sales are subject to the AAM’s commission of 30% for AAM members, 40% for non-members. You may join when you first submit art or before the art is delivered. To become a member now click here. Membership must be paid no later than delivery of the accepted artwork for an artist to receive a member’s commission for a sale. All art that is for sale must only be available for purchase through the AAM from June 11th – July 10th, 2026 and is subject to the aforementioned commission during that period. Artwork does not have to be for sale, but it is preferred.___________________
Insurance
The AAM will insure all work from the date of arrival at the Museum through the stated pick-up dates. The maximum insurance amount covers up to an artist’s value of $2,000, with a $500 deductible payable by the artist. The AAM is not responsible for loss or damage in shipping, or for insuring art during shipping. Art left beyond the final pick-up date of July 14th, 2026 at 3PM, ET, will not be insured.___________________
In-person Pick-up of Exhibited Work:
Saturday, July 11th & Tuesday, July 14th, 2026; 10AM – 3PM, ET. Work left past July 14th 2026 at 3PM, ET will be charged $5 per day per piece at late pickup.___________________
Return of Work – Shipped by the Museum
All work will be packed/shipped by July 16th, 2026 using the same materials provided by the artist. Please pack your art carefully. You must enclose a pre-paid shipping label for the return of your work (the shipping vendor’s pick-up fee must be pre-paid as part of the return shipping label) and a $10 handling fee per piece. Checks payable to Attleboro Arts Museum. If you are within driving distance we would appreciate an in-person pick-up. Eligibility Criteria The Attleboro Arts Museum invites all US-based artists to submit their interpretations of Country.
