CALL FOR ENTRIES: 26th ANNUAL NATIONAL JURIED FINE ART COMPETITION. The Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art is currently accepting entries for its 26th annual juried fine art competition, A Sense of Place 2006. Open to all U.S. artists ages 18 and older working in the following media: drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, sculpture, and mixed media. $25 entry fee covers submission of slides or CD of up to five works. Cash awards available. Juror: Sherry Leedy, Director, Sherry Leedy Contemporary Art, Kansas City, MO. Entries must be postmarked by June 16, 2006; exhibition runs September 15-October 20, 2006.
