Mission Statement: To encourage the artistic transformation of Springfield through outdoor sculpture, thus enhancing our quality of life and promoting economic vitality.

Purpose: Sculpture Walk Springfield 2024-2025 is a competitive exhibition. The primary purpose of the exhibition is to promote our mission statement while recognizing and encouraging sculptors and their work.

Eligibility: Sculpture Walk Springfield 2024-2025 may be entered by any artist, 18 years or older.

Work Eligible: Five entries per artist may be accepted for consideration. All work must be ready for display, made of strong material and suitable for outdoors. All work must be available for purchase to the public as well as private entities. Renderings or models may be accepted on a case by case basis*.

*For models or rendering submissions, artists may submit photos of completed work in a similar style as a proof of concept. Please note clearly in your application that the work is an example and not the submission. 

**Work submitted must be available for exhibition during the entire 2024-2025 exhibition cycle. See dates below.

Method of Selection: Sculpture Walk Springfield 2024-2025 will be chosen from digital files submitted to submissions@sculpturewalkspringfield.org. Digital images should accurately represent the artwork entered. All applications must be completed in full for consideration. It is the intention of Sculpture Walk Springfield that all accepted submissions will be considered final, however, the program reserves the right to withhold from the exhibition any artwork that does not accurately reflect the submission materials reviewed by the selection committee. 

Insurance, Liability, and Ownership: Sculptures chosen for Sculpture Walk Springfield 2024-2025 will be on loan to the program for one year and displayed to the public for 11 months. They will remain in the ownership of the artist. Insurance coverage will be provided for the program through Sculpture Walk Springfield. Upon selection, you will receive a packet including a loan agreement with the City of Springfield, as pertains to our program.

Selected Artists: Selected artists will receive a minimum of $1,000 stipend, a maximum of $150 for mileage reimbursement for individuals traveling from outside Greene County, Missouri, one complimentary hotel night stay, recognition on the SWS brochure, social media platforms, as well as a bio and artist’s statement on the SWS website.

Sales: The Artist understands that artwork sales are subject to a 25% program commission to offset administrative costs to the program. Any prior arrangement between the Artist and a commercial art gallery or other representative shall be the sole responsibility of the Artist and shall have no bearing on the Artist’s agreement with Sculpture Walk Springfield.

Agreement:  Those artists who have been selected and subsequently receive the loan agreement between the City of Springfield and Sculpture Walk Springfield will have 10 calendar days to respond. Once we have received the loan agreement from the participating artist, it will be understood to imply agreement on the part of the entrant, with all conditions set forth therein.

April 27, 2024 – Art Alley Collection Celebration

April 21-25, 2025 – De-Install Week
