Open Call for Artists — Sensum

Sensum is a new cross-sensory fanzine dedicated to contemporary artists who work through scent, taste, and touch—those elusive channels that slip past the purely visual and land directly in the body. We invite artists, writers, perfumers, cooks, and experimental practitioners to submit works for upcoming issues.

Each issue gathers experimental practices, interviews, recipes, tactile scores, and scent-driven narratives, celebrating artists who treat the senses as material, method, and message. Sensum functions as both a platform and a playground: a space for works that diffuse, dissolve, melt, stain, linger, and surprise.

Rooted in participatory art and the intimacy of handmade publications, Sensum welcomes proposals that encourage slow, embodied engagement—where feeling, smelling, and savoring become forms of critical inquiry.

Submission requirements:

Project description (maximum 400 words)

Short artist bio (maximum 150 words)

Six high-resolution images related to the project

Submissions should clearly articulate the conceptual framework of the work and its cross-sensory approach. Emerging and established artists are welcome to apply.

Processing Fee: $35 per artist

Join us in cultivating a space for works that ask us not only to look, but to listen, breathe, taste, and feel.
