PIEDMONT CRAFTSMEN’S 2026 CALL FOR CRAFT ARTISTS - to Apply for Guild Membership & Annual Crafts Fair

Piedmont Craftsmen invites unique, creative voices making well-crafted, handmade work, in all craft media, whether in traditional or contemporary styles, to apply for Guild Membership.  Craft media includes clay, metals, fiber, printmaking, book arts, glass, jewelry, leather, photography, wood, and mixed-media.  Submit applications for consideration via Zapplication by May 15TH, 2026. 

Piedmont Craftsmen, a 501(c)(3) organization, advocates for the excellence of fine craft and promotes its value. By applying, you’re seeking lifetime Exhibiting Membership in one of the nation’s top craft guilds, not just a beautiful annual, indoor show. Founded in 1963, Piedmont Craftsmen represents approximately 300 active members, all of whom are innovators in materials, techniques, processes, and creative expression.

The application process has two parts:  First, submit a small portfolio of images for the Image Review via zapplication.org by May 15th, 2026. An annually rotating panel of Guild Members and arts professionals will review these images and select applicants for the second round, the Object Review, held in person during the annual Crafts Fair, November 20th-22nd, 2026. 

Benefits of Guild Membership means being able to take advantage of the services we offer to craft artists. These include the ability to take part and sell your work in our annual Craft Fair; the ability to consign your work, year-round, in our Gallery; show your work in our Exhibitions Program; paid opportunities to teach in our Education Program; as well as other benefits that include reciprocal partnerships with other guilds, networking opportunities and more.  Our annual Craft Fair is considered one of the finest in the southeastern United States, while Piedmont Craftsmen’s Gallery anchors the Arts District of downtown Winston-Salem, NC.  A complete list of guild membership benefits is available upon request
