Artists have long incorporated the element of water in their art-making practices. Recently, technology corporations depleting the Great Lakes presents a serious threat to people living in the Midwest. As data centers have increasingly affected drinking water throughout the United States, protection of the largest group of freshwater in the world is at stake. 

  water/ways is an upcoming exhibition that explores the ways artists reflect on, respond to, and reimagine water in relation to the Great Lakes. Themes may include but are not limited to:  water as a cleansing ritual water cycles water and technology  reflections of water water as witness  water rights the resilience of water. water/waters is currently accepting submission for artwork of any medium. Artists must be residing or have resided in the US Great Lakes region (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan,  Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, or Wisconsin).   Please use this link to fill out the form to submit your work.
