Remote New York Gallery Tours
Enjoy New York City’s vibrant art scene without setting foot in a gallery! Join expert art gallery guide Merrily Kerr on a one-hour remote tour of 4-5 of the talked-about exhibitions of the season in Chelsea and on the Lower East Side. We’ll view images and video shot in the galleries while Merrily fills in background on each artist’s career and we discuss what’s new and important in the current work. Tours take place via Zoom and are limited to 15 participants to encourage questions and conversation.
Remote New York Art Museum Tours
Engage with the most topical New York museum shows of moment on a one-hour remote highlights tour. Together, we’ll take in select works from exhibitions at two New York museums, including:
- ‘Marking Time: Art in the Age of Mass Incarceration’ and other highlights of MoMA’s programming at MoMA and MoMA PS1
Both incarcerated and non-incarcerated artists contribute work to an exhibition that considers the experiences of inmates in the U.S. prison population. We’ll discuss this show among other highlights of MoMA’s current program.
- ‘Working Together: The Photographers of the Kamoinge Workshop’, ‘Salmon Toor,’ and more at the Whitney Museum
An exhibition focusing on the early years of the Kamoinge Workshop, a collective of Black photographers formed in 1963, and young New York artist Salmon Toor’s recent paintings of queer community will headline our remote look at the Whitney’s latest shows.
Tickets: Tickets are a discounted $16 per person. Limit 15 people per tour. Tickets are refundable until two weeks prior to each tour. To purchase a ticket, choose your date on the calendar below and click the link.
