Are you …

a student?

An integral component of CAA’s mission is the goal of meeting the needs of the next generation of visual-arts professionals through programming that includes: career resources and professional development; networking and mentoring; guidelines for resumes, CVs, and portfolios; grant, fellowship, and award opportunities; and more. CAA understands the challenges that students face as they launch their careers in the increasingly competitive fields of art and academia. Understanding that these challenges often include significant financial burdens, CAA offers a discounted membership for currently enrolled, full-time students. CAA’s Student Membership includes access to the Online Career Center—where you can search the latest employment listings, apply for jobs online, post CVs, request email alerts, and more—as well as a 55 percent discount on registration for the Annual Conference, which includes extensive programming targeted to students and emerging professionals.

Students must submit a current, valid student ID by email to studentID@collegeart.org, or by fax to 212-627-2381; you may also provide proof of student enrollment by submitting a dated class schedule or a letter from your school that confirms your enrollment.

If you want even more benefits, or you want to support CAA at a higher level, explore our Premium and Donors Circle Memberships.

teaching part-time?

In recent years, institutions of higher learning are increasingly hiring part-time, non-tenure-track faculty members who receive less institutional support and fewer benefits. CAA is working on many levels to address work force issues, including the challenges facing part-time faculty. Understanding these challenges, CAA offers a discounted membership for part-time faculty.

Part-time faculty must submit their title and affiliation by email to parttimeID@collegeart.org or by fax to 212-627-2381.

CAA offers a discounted membership for retired visual-arts professionals who no longer need access to the organization’s many professional-development programs and career service opportunities.

Retired persons (65 or older) must submit an official ID that lists their date of birth—such as a driver’s license or passport—by email to retiredID@collegeart.org or by fax to 212-627-2381.
