posted by CAA — September 08, 2026
The College Art Association’s Student and Emerging Professionals Committee (SEPC) invites undergraduate students to submit proposals for a special two-session program at the CAA 115th Annual Conference in New York City. As part of our open-access conference programming, these sessions will be available to the public through CAA115 no-cost registration and are designed to showcase the outstanding scholarship, creativity, and intellectual curiosity of emerging voices in the visual arts.
SEPC welcomes proposals in art history, art practice, museum studies, design, and interdisciplinary arts research. Students are encouraged to explore topics that advance understanding of the arts in all forms, spanning diverse media, historical periods, methodologies, themes, and cultural perspectives.
Selected participants will each deliver a ten-minute presentation followed by a roundtable discussion. In addition to presenting their work, session participants will have mentorship, networking, and professional development opportunities by engaging with SEPC members before, during, and after the conference.
Share your research, connect with peers and professionals, and take part in the conversation shaping the future of the visual arts! Students from all backgrounds and areas of study are encouraged to apply.
